Tavrida dolmens and places of power

In the immediate vicinity of the village of Gaspra (Big Yalta) is located a few Taurus dolmens . have been preserved since the 6th century BC . This is a very well-known but not fully explored. It is older than ten thousand years. Even younger than the Egyptian pyramids. Mossy slabs shrouded in mystery, so they are very different.

The first set of dolmens consists of four cameras, and next, 300 metres from the trail is another four-chamber complex of dolmens. Two secondary camera still not destroyed, survived even their covers.

The dolmen, or “stone boxes” are megalithic structures. Megaliths (from Greek Megas – large and lithos – stone) called the ancient structures of multi-ton, often carefully cut stone blocks. They are quite prevalent and famous in the world. In the traditional understanding there are several types: menhirs –single, stacked stone pillars, stone circles — circles of such stones.

In Southeast Asia, North Africa, Spain, the coasts of France and England and in many other places towering strange construction of the huge boulders. Scientists call them megaliths. It’s a giant, roughly-worked blocks of stone weighing several hundred tons. The megaliths or standing separately from each other, and then they are called menhirs, or form complex structures – dolmens and cromlechs. Giant blocks are not fastened by any cementing substance, but they are so carefully fitted that they cannot put even the blade of a penknife. On the mystery of megaliths scientists struggle for a very long time, but the basic questions still remain unanswered.

Undeciphered inscriptions

It is noticed that the megaliths tend to be sea coasts, and the farther from the sea, the smaller buildings. The most famous megalithic monuments located near the French town of Carnac on the southern Brittany coast. The main attraction of Karnak is a huge megalith, bearing the name of St. Michael. According to researchers, this structure initially served as a burial vault. Later, the megalith was covered with earth, and the top formed on its hilltop location in the Middle ages the chapel was erected.
