Secrets of the Kaliningrad underground.

Germany offered to restore the USSR Kaliningrad in exchange for buried treasure.

This medieval quarter, with the most outstanding urban monuments, also called “Cathedral” (Barry de La seu), it has a more funny name “rovell de l OU” (egg yolk).

The quarter, located between the Cathedral and the town Hall, and partially surrounded by the bastions of the Roman walls, is probably the most attractive part of the city. In the beginning of XX century it was called “Gothic” . although the Gothic buildings have survived in other parts of the city. However, this is where the architectural ensemble of buildings stood in perfect harmony and deserved the most attention in this quarter was conducted a number of serious restoration work.

The quarter begins with the Plaza Nova, the oldest area of Barcelona, with which once it was possible to enter the territory of the Roman settlement “Barsine” and which in the XIII century was the most prosperous market town where they sold slaves as well. Here still two Roman towers that were part of the old city wall, which was the only protection of the city until the XIII century. To this period belongs the Bishop’s Palace (Palau Episcopal), which is located to the right of the Roman towers, thereby creating a striking contrast with the modern building of the College of Architects, the exterior frieze designed by Picasso.
